In the summer of 2023, I had the opportunity to be the public relations intern for Abelita, LLC. Abelita is a consulting company that offers services across various sectors. I drafted press releases, newsletters, and created content calendars. This experience strengthened my communication and cooperative skills because the internship was remote.

In January 2024, I was selected to work as an intern for the wellness non profit organization, Self Edit Inc. During the internship I created a national media list, fundraiser pitch, 90 day content calendar and marketing presentation. The primary objective was to raise donations to support a transitional housing facility for at-risk youth.

In February 2024, I was selected to be the public relations intern for afro fusion restaurant Halisi Africa. In preparation of the annual Furaha Black Heritage Festival, I wrote a email pitch for vendors and sponsors, contacted vendors and connected the business with local media outlets.
